Hello, I’m Mario Valdebenito and I welcome you to my online space.
I work at the intersection of technology, learning, and leadership to help organizations make sense of complexity and move forward with intention.
My professional path has been shaped by three enduring commitments: designing effective systems, developing people, and leading through change. From my early experiences in my family’s manufacturing business to my current work in higher education and educational technology, I have focused on how humans, data, and structures interact and how those interactions can be improved.
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Global Leadership, building on an M.Ed. in Learning, Media, and Technology and an MBA. My work centers on organizational learning, leadership development, and the responsible use of technology to support decision-making at scale. I am particularly interested in how organizations navigate transformation, measure what matters, and cultivate cultures that support both performance and belonging.
Across my career, I have partnered with subject matter experts, faculty, students, technologists, and senior leaders across disciplines including business, health sciences, arts, biology, economics, and languages. I have collaborated with organizations and institutions across North America, South America, and India, experiences that have reinforced a core belief: meaningful change begins with listening, trust, and clarity of purpose.
At the heart of my work is a simple principle: leadership is not about having all the answers, but rather having the curiosity to pursue them. Leadership is about creating the conditions for learning, alignment, and thoughtful action. I aim to support organizations in rethinking how they use technology, data, and learning systems to develop people, navigate uncertainty, and prepare for what comes next.
